Description:

This IPS MAX–ready housing shell from FunnyPlaying is the required enclosure for installing the IPS MAX display kit in a Game Boy Advance. The MAX panel is larger than previous IPS and ITA screens, and because of this increased screen aperture, the IPS MAX kit cannot be installed into any other shell, including modified shells, older IPS-ready shells, or ITA laminated housings.

The overall size, texture, and feel of the shell closely follow the original Game Boy Advance design, but with a specially engineered enlarged window and internal structure made solely to accommodate the IPS MAX panel and its ribbon. This shell does not support any other IPS kits available from FunnyPlaying or other manufacturers.

The battery compartment remains open and standard in design, supporting AA batteries or suitable LiPo battery modifications depending on your build.

No cutting, trimming, or DIY shell modification is required. Installing an IPS MAX screen into a standard shell would not be possible even with heavy trimming, this MAX shell is the only proper fit.

This shell includes front and back housing, battery terminal contact, battery cover, rear sticker, and screw set.

No IPS screen, bracket, buttons, or lens are included.

A tri-wing screwdriver is required to disassemble your console (not included).
